Children’s Art Parties
The Arts Emporium holds the most fabulous children’s birthday parties for children aged 5 to 12 years old! An art party at The Arts Emporium is an event that is full of pleasure, imagination and hands-on, creative fun.
Our parties are unique because:
- They are held in a real art studio!
- We have wonderful talented art staff who involve the children in lots of party fun and real art and craft activities
- This event is created especially for the guest of honour
- Your child gets to choose their own party theme, to suit their age and interests
- There are lots of fabulous hand-made art and craft creations to take home
- And at the end of the party, the Guest of Honour will also take home a special birthday gift from us.
Our parties are well run because :
- Our staff are qualified, experienced, warm, welcoming, fun and talented.
- We hold children’s art classes at this studio during school terms, so we have lots of experience with children and know how to generate real art and craft activities that are interesting and pleasurable (and teach good creative skills as well) !
- We have high staff–to–child ratios, with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 children, so there is lots of professional help and personal attention.
What you need to know before you book :
The fee for a two hour party is $30 per child, with a minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 children (which includes all participating siblings). You will need to confirm your booking at least 3 weeks prior to the party and the final num-bers are to be finalised at least one full week before the party.
Please note:
If the number of attendees on the day is higher than expected, we will ask for these guests to be paid for, however if they are less on the day, unfortunately we cannot reduce our pre-booked fee. Also, if additional adults (apart from the guest of honour‟s parents of course!) would like to stay and watch, or would like to participate in the activities and fun, they will be most welcome to do so, but this will incur a small additional fee to cover our costs and the materials used.
The party fee covers :
The theme and activities preparation; experienced, professional, highly qualified staff; all art materials; finished art and craft works to take home; party games; prizes; the hire of the venue and the art and venue clean-up.
This fee does not include:
Catering; drinks; the birthday cake; the cost of face painting; the cost of more complex art/craft materials (e.g. clay; plaster; mosaic; canvas); or the attendance and participation of other entertainment or other adults, apart from the guest of honour‟s parents. However, please don‟t hesitate to ask if you would like to explore these options or need our help with organising professional catering.
What you need to do to confirm your booking:
Contact us to say “Yes!” and book the day and time.
Then a 50% deposit will be payable (as cash, direct debit or cheque) at the time of booking, with the balance (as cash, direct deposit or cheque) due once numbers have been confirmed and at least one week prior to the event.
Then :
On the day of the party, the table will be set with a cloth, ready for the party fare. The kitchen will be available for you to heat, prepare and serve the party food* and while you will cater, we will entertain, play and create.
This high octane, exciting, creative party will run for a total of two hours, allowing for one and a half hours of art and craft activities and party fun, followed by a half hour, at the end of the visit, for the party fare, the photos and the birthday cake.

*Please note that, unless the party is commercially catered, just as in your own home, all responsibility for the kitchen’s safety, the food, beverages, cake, preparation, serving and clean-up is undertaken by you, as the party’s host.
